Who Benefits from Addiction Therapy?
Addiction therapy is for those who are engaged in anything that is taking more time than they would like out of their life or is resulting in consequences that they want to avoid.
I help by finding patterns in your use and working with you to help make small changes to make lasting, adaptive habits.

How I Work with Addiction
I work with any type of substance abuse, including cannabis and alcohol counseling in Denver and throughout the state of Colorado.
As an addiction therapist in Denver, I start by taking a nonjudgmental stance to listen completely to your struggles. After we have built a strong therapeutic rapport, I will engage in cognitive behavioral therapy to truly assess your values, core beliefs, and thoughts around your use.
With everything on the table, I will begin to teach you skills and tools you can use to help fight the impulse you feel to engage in your vice, as well as challenge you to implement small variations in your habits to build lasting change.
What Does a Session Look Like?
Sessions last for 50 minutes and can be held in person, or via telehealth throughout the state of Colorado.
At the start, I recommend sessions once weekly, and then we can assess later on whether you feel like you need more or less support, and create a schedule based on your needs.
Session Cost and Reimbursement
Each 50-minute session is $160 per session, regardless of in-person or telehealth services. I also work with Mentaya, which is a service that helps you take the superbill I generate for you at the end of each month and reach out to your insurance on your behalf for the best reimbursement rate possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Someone close to me thinks I have a problem with addiction, but I don't. Is therapy right for me?
Until you are ready and committed to making a change for yourself, therapy will not be nearly as effective.
What types of therapy are used for addiction?
Evidence-based therapy modalities such as CBT - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and MBRP - Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention are incredibly useful for addiction therapy, and I have experience and am trained in both modalities.
What happens if I resume use during the course of therapy?
I will continue to work with you without judgement or disappointment and retrace our steps to see what the trigger was and how we can work on that moving forward.
